TA-65^® Receives Generally Recognized as Safe Status

NEW YORK, N.Y., October 13, 2014 - An independent expert panel has determined TA-65^® to be Generally Recognized as Safe (GRAS) for use in a medical food under the provisions of the Federal Food, Drug and Cosmetic Act, administered by the United States Food and Drug Administration (FDA). T.A. Sciences^® provided extensive animal & human clinical data to support the status of Generally Recognized as Safe. A medical food is formulated to be consumed or administered enterally under the supervision of a physician and is intended for the specific dietary management of a disease or condition for which distinctive nutritional requirements, based on recognized scientific principles, are established by medical evaluation.
